GUESSS Survey

GUESSS (Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students' Survey) is an international research project on university entrepreneurship, coordinated by the universities of St. Gallen and Bern (Switzerland). It aims to analyse the entrepreneurial intentions and attitudes of university students worldwide and promote an entrepreneurial culture based on the knowledge generated at universities.

In the 2023/24 edition, Spain has been a global leader in participation, with 71 universities and nearly 79,000 students surveyed. The Rovira i Virgili University (URV) has played a prominent role, with 783 students participating. The survey was conducted between September 4 and December 22, 2023.

The GUESSS report provides key data on students' profiles, their professional aspirations, their skills, and the university's entrepreneurial environment. Additionally, it enables the identification of areas for improvement to strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit and foster innovation within universities.

URV not only actively participates in this study but also acts as a driving force for change in the region through specialised chairs and entrepreneurship support programs. These initiatives link research and knowledge with the economic and social development of the Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre.

This year, URV renews its commitment to the GUESSS project and encourages the entire student community to participate in the survey to help build a more innovative, entrepreneurial, and connected university with its surrounding environment.
