Internationalisation at home

The concept "Internationalisation at home" refers to everything we can do to internationalize the university, the student experience and learning beyond mobility. The idea of internationalization at home (IaH in its acronym) helps us reach all students, academics and technical and administrative staff, being more inclusive, sustainable and promoting the positive values related to internationalization : openness, environmental awareness, collaboration and common learning, among others.

Internationalisation, everyone's thing!

  • Internationalisation training

Training in internationalisation is one of the areas in which the URV is distinguished and a model of reference at European level. Projects such as SUCTI (Systemic University Change Towards Internationalisation) have been pioneers in putting staff at the center (PTGAS and PDI), as essential actors for transversal and inclusive internationalisation.

  • CV Internationalisation

The internationalization of the curriculum (IoC in its acronym) is a line of action related to the IaH because it seeks to intervene in the learning experience in an extensive way, including formal and informal curriculum, and affecting areas such as teaching plans (examples used, bibliography, frameworks, etc.), or in the methodologies (COIL), but also in the opportunities and services of the university, which can equally affect the learning experience of local students and international.

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) are short-duration intensive programmes that use innovative teaching and learning methods, especially collaborative online learning. They include challenge-based learning, with transnational and transdisciplinary teams working together on challenges such as the Sustainable Development Goals. They combine virtual exchange with short on-site mobility (5-30 days) and aim to offer flexible mobility without barriers.

If you want to organise a BIP, you need to submit your proposal to the call. If you have been contacted by a partner university to collaborate on a BIP, get in touch with the Internationalisation at Home coordinator and the Mobility coordinator to learn about the procedures.

"Train the Trainers" del Systemic University Change Towards Internationalisation (SUCTI)

The "Train the Trainers" course is an intensive one-week training programme aimed at transforming administrative staff into SUCTI trainers so they can deliver SUCTI training at their own institutions, in their own language, to their fellow administrative staff.
