Social and territorial commitment
The URV is committed to the well-being and development of the community and the region that it serves. To promote these aspects, it establishes partnerships to address social needs and engages in activities and programmes that make university knowledge accessible to the whole of society.

Extended Campus
The URV collaborates with local councils and Tarragona Provincial Council to ensure that it has a presence throughout the territory and can thus offer activities to the entire population.

URV Ciutadana
This programme allows anyone over the age of 18, with no prior academic requirements, to enrol in subjects from different URV degrees and attend classes alongside regular students.

Courses for older adults
The URV offers lectures, talks and activities aimed at people over 55 in more than 20 municipalities throughout the Camp de Tarragona and the Terres de l'Ebre regions.

Friends of the URV
Friends of the URV is an initiative open to all adults who wish to become part of the university and share in its goals. Members also have access to a range of benefits including the use of the Learning and Research Resource Centre's facilities and IT resources.

Scientific outreach activities
ComCiència organises scientific outreach activities involving URV researchers with the aim of bringing knowledge closer to society.

The URV promotes initiatives that combine university life and social engagement by encouraging volunteering, cooperation and social justice from the classroom to the wider community.

The URV offers spaces for artistic expression and participation where people can share interests and passions in areas such as music, cinema, theatre, debate and visual arts.

URV Chairs
The URV Chairs are spaces for research and outreach that promote critical knowledge and the analysis of current social challenges in collaboration with public and private entities.
