“My experience with the Master’s was extremely positive. I had taken a three-year degree in Tourism at the URV in Vila-seca but needed to refresh certain concepts and bring myself up to date with the new trends in tourism. The tourism sector is both resilient and constantly changing and if you want to be well prepared to work in the tourism sector, you need to keep up to date with the technological innovations and new initiatives. I would recommend this Master’s degree to anyone because it teaches the new key concepts we all need so that we can develop our professional careers effectively. What encouraged me to enrol on this Master’s was the fact that, being an official qualification, it would add prestige to my CV. Other key factors behind my decision were the hybrid methodology (part online and part face-to-face), my confidence in the URV Faculty of Tourism, the professionalism shown by the academic staff, and the Faculty’s close relationships with Eurecat and the Costa Daurada tourism sector. I’ve been working in the tourism sector for many years now. In fact, I was able to combine my studies on the Master’s with my position at the Tarragona Provincial Council Tourism Board, where I am still working and currently developing a project on tourism innovation.”

“My experience on the master's programme was a decisive turning point in my professional career. Since then, I have grown within the international tourism sector, acquiring tools and knowledge that have allowed me to take on responsibilities, first at Montblanc Town Council, and then at the Catalan Tourism Agency, at various European organisations and, currently, at the United Nations World Tourism Organisation, where I work in the Department for Market Intelligence, Policy and Competitiveness. I took the second edition of the master's degree in 2018-2019 and its specialised and practical training has been fundamental to the consolidation of my professional career. In addition to sustainable and responsible tourism management, the master's degree has given me a global perspective and an international network that together enable me to tackle the current challenges facing the sector with innovation and commitment.”
