Specialisations

The master's degree offers two specializations consisiting of 12 ECTS credits:

  1. Specialization in Process Safety: The specialization in Process Safetyprepares you to analyse and solve complex process safety challenges with a critical, creative and highly technical approach. You will gain advanced knowledge and professional skills to work effectively in demanding and multidisciplinary industrial environments.
  2. Specialization in Environmental Management: The specialization in Environmental Management provides solid training in environmental management and sustainable production, enabling you to design, implement and manage efficient and environmentally responsible processes. It equips you to address environmental and technological challenges with an integrated, innovative perspective focused on sustainable development.

Simultaneous studies

There is a special programme that enables students to simultaneously study the University Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering and a second Master’s Degree so that they can obtain two official degrees via a specific academic plan.

  • Dual Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering: be advised that this special program is taught in English (55%) and Catalan (45%).

  • Dow Award for students completing the Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering at URV who wish to boost their professional careers. This award offers students the opportunity to access a position at Dow's plants in Tarragona or Terneuzen, as well as participate in European selection processes.
