Bringing forward the first exam session for the Master's Thesis subject to December/January (when the curriculum states that it is a second-semester or annual subject)

  • CONCEPT: This is the process that the student follows when they apply to be evaluated and are given a grade for the Master's Thesis subject during December/January. January (if the curriculum states that it is a second-semester or annual subject).

From the day of registration until 30 November.

How

By presenting the following documentation:

  • Application form addressed to the head of the secretariat who, if necessary, will report to the dean or director of the faculty /school. Click here to download the PDF form.

  • Report by the Coordinator of the course for which the student is registered.

Observations

The Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and Human Evolution only allows the Bachelor's Thesis subject to be assessed in the established periods (June and September) and does not permit allow it to be assessed any earlier.

In the case of the Master's Thesis, early submission can only be requested if the subject is scheduled for the second semester of the study plan or it is an annual subject.

How
  • If the request is accepted, the student’s transcript will be updated to include the change of exam session.
    They will be visible on the transcript, which means that it is not necessary to send a separate explicit notification to the individual (the transcript can be consulted on the intranet).
  • If the application is rejected, the individual concerned will be notified.

Observations

Students who do not pass the subject during the December/January exam session can be evaluated in the second exam session. 

At the discretion of the faculty/school, the student may also ask, before 20 May, for the second exam session (September) to be moved forward to June. (application form)

 If there are any differences between translations, the Catalan version prevails.
