SouvenirArt awards
The SouvenirArt project aims to reimagine traditional destination branding, looking beyond clichés to explore local authenticity and cultural depth. By creating innovative objects, it invites a new perspective on travel: one that is more reflective, emotional, and deeply rooted in the territory's identity.
Each year, the project focuses on a place, reinterpreting its symbols through design and art. It is an invitation to question how we remember the places we visit, ensuring those memories are as unique as the experiences themselves.

On 13 February, the awards ceremony was held for the second edition of the SouvenirART Prize, a competition that this year brought together 38 creative proposals inspired by the cultural and heritage identity of Salou. The event was attended by members of the jury, institutional representatives, and participating artists. The prize was awarded to Helena Frías Peña for the work "Salou - Modernisme daurat", whilst the other two finalist works were "Temps d'estiueig", by Elisabeth Tort Fresquet and Isabel Barber, and "Correspondències en el temps", by Clàudia Fernández Marques.
The selected works were exhibited publicly at the Chalet Fort, serving as an example of how design and art can contribute to strengthening the tourism and cultural promotion of the municipality. The initiative, promoted by the Chair with the support of the Tarragona Provincial Council and the Salou Tourism Board, continues to champion artistic innovation applied to the territory.
