Tutoresport URV Program
Your sporting career and your education can go hand in hand.
The Universitat Rovira i Virgili promotes the Tutoresport-URV Programme, an initiative designed to facilitate compatibility between university studies and sporting practice. The programme supports you so that you can combine your university studies with training sessions, events and official competitions.
Why join the Tutoresport-URV Programme?
- To increase compatibility between your studies and your sporting activities.
- To improve your academic performance.
- To reduce the risk of you having to give up your university studies.
- Promote dual careers.
- Strengthen the URV's commitment to university sports.
Who can participate?
Students registered for a bachelor's, master's or doctoral programme at the URV who meet any of the programme's criteria may apply for membership.
Under the current affiliation agreements, students registered at centres affiliated with URV cannot apply to join the Tutoresport-URV Programme.
Categories
High-level and high-performance athletes
- High-Level Athlete in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 971/2007 of 13 July, and as published in the corresponding edition of the BOE.
- High Performance Athlete who meets the requirements of article 2.3, paragraphs d), e), f) and g) of Royal Decree 971/2007, of 13 July, on High-Level and High-Performance Athletes.
- High-Level Athlete in Catalonia.
- High-Performance Athlete of Catalonia in accordance with Decree 337/2002, of December 3, as listed in the current year’s lists approved semi-annually by the President of the Catalan Sports Council and published in the DOGC.
- Member of the ADO or ADOP programmes.
Highly dedicated athletes with sporting specialisation. They must:
- Be part of an official Catalan or Spanish team during the current or previous year. Requires certification from the relevant federations
- Participate in sports specialisation programmes.
- Be part of the Catalan university team (ECU) or other official university teams.
- Have achieved a podium finish at the Spanish University Championships (CEU) while representing URV.
- Regularly participate in high-level official competitions. This includes students who have been awarded a medal at the Catalan University Championship (CCU), the Spanish University Championship (CEU), or who have participated in the European Universities Championships (EUC).
- Have a professional or semi-professional sports contract.
- Demonstrate a minimum sporting commitment of 12 hours per week.

- Other sporting situations of special relevance, which will be considered on a case-by-case basis

The committee assesses and approves the candidate’s application.

The academic tutor assigns the candidate to the programme.
