The Archive Regulations of the University Rovira i Virgili were approved by the URV's Governing Council on 28 April 2014 and aim to regulate the functioning of the URV Archive and the management of its documents.
Its purpose is to comply with current legislation on public documents and archives, to establish the measures that will preserve the documentary heritage of the URV, and to make the documentation available to the entire university community and to the general public, with the legally established guarantees.
These Regulations establish the mechanisms for the different phases of the life cycle of the URV's documents and how they are to be held, evaluated and accessed, in accordance with the rules and procedures approved by the URV.
The URV's Document Management Policy was approved by the Universitat Rovira i Virgili's Governing Council on 27 June 2023, with the aim of establishing standardised criteria for the use, management and preservation of electronic and paper documentation.
Its primary purpose is to ensure that documents and records remain authentic, reliable, complete and available as valid information and supporting evidence for the University's functions and activities over time.
The Policy sets out the principles of document management, the allocation of responsibilities, the electronic documentation lifecycle, the document management processes and the archival instruments of the URV.
