Application for recognition of credits obtained from official university courses in the same cycle

Who
|
The interested party admitted/matriculated to the master's degree studies or the authorized person on presentation of the necessary identification.

Period: between 2 May and 30 November.

How
|
Presenting the following documentation:

Application addressed to the head of the secretariat who, if appropriate, will send it to the dean or the director of the faculty or school.

Original academic transcript issued by the secretariat of the faculty or school (if the student studied at the URV) or the original or attested photocopy of the personal academic transcript (if the student studied at another university).

Programmes of the subjects passed (if they have been studied at other universities). The applicant must provide the web link to the home university's course programme, which states the academic year that corresponds to each subject. Alternatively, they may provide a stamped original and photocopy of the subjects passed, which state the competencies acquired during the subject.

Original and photocopy of the document that accredits the type of exemption, if appropriate (large family certificate, etc.).
The body responsible for granting recognition may request all the documentation it considers necessary in order to determine whether subjects can be recognized.

That
|

Subjects passed in first cycle courses are not recognized. These include: Diplomas, Master's Degrees, Technical Engineering, Technical Architecture (before the EHEA) and Bachelor's Degrees (after the EHEA).

Second cycle subjects passed in first and second cycle courses (before the EHEA) and subjects passed in University Master's Degrees (after the EHEA) are recognized.

Cost
|
Students must pay the fee for determining whether recognition can be granted. The secretariat of the faculty or school will inform students how much they have to pay in accordance with what is established in the current decree on public prices.

Observations
|

The recognition of previous studies will be based on the final grades listed on the student's academic transcript on the date that the deadline for this recognition expires.

The recognition will also take into account the competencies and knowledge associated with the previous studies.

Under no circumstances will credits corresponding to final master’s projects be recognized.

If a student is admitted on a master's degree and applies for recognition, the coordinator will hold a tutorial session within ten days of having been admitted to inform the student of the resulting academic situation.

The coordinator will hold a tutorial with the students (face-to-face or online), in which they will be informed of the academic situation resulting from applying the established criteria.

The interested party will be informed of the decision.

The secretariat of the faculty/school will automatically update the student's transcript, if necessary.

Applications submitted between 2 May and 3 July 2025 will academics effects for the 2024-25 academic year (shall not apply if the subjects to recognize are enrolled in 2024-25 academic year).

Applications submitted between 4 July and 30 November 2025 will have academic and economic purposes for 2025-26 academic year.

Applications submitted that involve completion of studies by credit recognition, if submitted after the start of the academic activity of the following year (22 September 2025), registration corresponds to a new registration.

Cost
|
Students must pay the fee for the recognized subjects established by the current decree of public prices.

Observations
|
In the Master studies, the number maximum of credit to recognize is established:

Master of 120 credits: 60 credits

Master of 90 credits: 45 credits
-
Master of 60 credits: 30 credits
|
If there are any differences between translations, the Catalan version prevails.
