Resolution of the application

Who

The head of the Secretariat.

When

August is not considered to be a working month.

How

  • The interested party will be informed of the resolution and, if appropriate, their academic transcript will be updated.

  • The cancellation of registration will be recorded on the computer system.

Economic effects

  • The cancellation of registration involves all fees for tuition and bridging courses being refunded, if applicable.

  • If fees are not paid before the deadline, the University may automatically enforce the annulment, but the fees will remain outstanding, and the doctoral student will not be able to register for any URV course until they rectify this situation. In accordance with the Decree on Public Prices, they will also not be able to register at any other Catalan university until they make the corresponding payment. Likewise, for as long as the fees remain unpaid, the doctoral student will not be issued with certificates, academic transcripts or other qualifications.

Observations

  • Cancelling the first-year registration involves losing the place and cancelling all academic and administrative effects of the registration.

    • New students who are up-to-date with their payments will be returned the documents that they submitted when they registered, if applicable. Any student who wishes to resume the same programme of study will have to go through the pre-registration procedure again. The relevant information can be found here.

    • Provided they are up-to-date with their payments, other doctoral students who wish to continue on the same programme must apply to resume their studies during the academic year after the academic year of annulment. Once a full academic year has passed after the annulment, the student will be definitively withdrawn from the doctoral programme and will no longer be able to participate in it. If at some future date they wish to resume their doctoral studies, they will have to pre-register for a different doctoral programme.

  • If the doctoral student has applied for or has a trainee-researcher contract or grant, the Secretary's Office must notify the Academic Management Service.

If there are any differences between translations, the Catalan version prevails.
