Annulment of registration due to denial of visa

The interested party or the authorized person on presentation of the necessary identification.

Master's students who have pre-registered for the fourth phase are not eligible for this type of annulment.

The application can also be submitted via the online administrative procedures on the URV's intranet or the URV online registry.

• From the day on which registration has been completed until 30 November

By presenting the following documentation:

• Application addressed to the head of the Secretary's Office who, if appropriate, will send it onto the corresponding Office of the Vice-Rector.

• Documentary proof showing the date of application for the visa and the date of the appointment to begin the procedure at the embassy/consulate, if necessary.

• Document that demonstrates the denial of the visa.

As far as is possible, within the 5 working days after receiving the application and any required documentation. 

August is not considered to be a working month.

• The interested party will be informed of the resolution and, if appropriate, their academic transcript will be updated.

• The annulment of registration will be recorded on the computer system.

• In order to complete the annulment, the student must be up to date with all their fee, insurance and voluntary service payments, if appropriate.

• If the student paid the registration fee, they will be refunded the cost of the credits registered and the cost of any credits recognised or validated, if appropriate. In the case of master's students, the refund may include the corresponding part of the amount paid to reserve the student's place.

• In order to make the cancellation requested effective, you must be up to date with the payment of the corresponding regularization.

• If the fees are not paid within the established periods, the University may annul the students' registration, but the outstanding fees will remain payable and the student will not be able to register for any URV course until this situation has been regularised. The Decree on Public Prices also establishes that until the student has paid the outstanding amount(s) they will not be allowed to register at any other Catalan university and that no certificates, academic records or other qualifications will be issued to them.

• To complete the requested annulment, you must have paid the corresponding part-payment of your registration fees.

• Once the annulment comes into effect, students are not entitled to a refund of the registration fees (supplementary charges, insurance, voluntary services and registered credits), or the academic fee for validation, adaptation, transfer and recognition of credits from the curriculum, or the amounts paid for validated or recognised credits. 

• Students who registration is annulled will lose their places and the registrations will be null and void.

  • New students who are up to date with their payments will be returned the documents that they submitted when they registered. Students must go through the pre-registration procedure again if they wish to begin any new university course.

  • All other students who annul their registration and who wish to continue their studies must make a formal request to do so and must be up to date with their payments.

• If the student has requested a grant, this request will also not be granted. If the student has received any funding related to the grant, they must return it.
