Objectives:
In this line, it is proposed to address the analysis and dissemination of aspects related to the transformation of CO₂ into products of interest linked to energy and materials, as well as the current state of storage processes by mineralization, identifying technologies and storage areas. During this course, the state of technologies for transforming CO₂ into energy vectors has been analyzed. The processes for converting CO₂ into products that can be used directly to obtain energy (MeOH, CH₄), starting products for fuels (CO) or for energy storage (formic acid) have been studied. The processes that are already in industrial production, their production volume and the possibilities of those that are in less advanced stages of technological development have been identified. In addition, the key critical parameters have been analyzed, such as reaction conditions, environmental implications, sustainability and cost of the process.
