The Chair in Science and Humanism has recently been created to encourage, promote and spread the values of science in society from a humanistic perspective and to promote its social visibility, that is to say, to generalize and socialize knowledge in the field of science In this line, it is intended to bring science closer to society with an eminently pedagogical character, in order to promote greater social recognition of the importance of science. At the same time, this chair will support the scientific and humanistic vocation in the field of secondary education and contribute to the Knowledge Society through the comprehensive training of future research and humanistic staff. This chair has financial support from Catalunya Banc SA, with whom an initial three-year agreement has been established.
