Chair for Property and Society Chair

Approved by the Governing Council of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili on 8 October 2026, the Chair for Property and Society was established with the aim of deepening knowledge and understanding of the right to private property and its role in society.

Established by the URV and the Fundación Registral, the Chair promotes reflection and debate on the foundations of private property, its social function and the challenges it faces in the future, as well as its relationship with democracy, dignity, freedom, equality and human rights.

The Chair promotes research, specialised training and knowledge transfer from an interdisciplinary and international perspective, with the aim of generating social impact.
