Procedures to request a mobility exchange
What do I have to do if I want to do a mobility stay at Universitat Rovira i Virgili?
Your home university must inform us that you have been selected as an exchange student to come and study at the URV.
Nomination (for international office managers only)
Nomination Deadlines for Universities:
- 1st Semester (Fall) / Full Academic Year: April 1st to May 21st, 2025
- 2nd Semester (Spring): April 1st to October 21st, 2025
You will then receive an email from mobilitat.in@urv.cat where we will indicate instructions, among which you will find the following procedures to complete:
Step 1 - Application
This is the most important step you need to take. We will ask you for a series of information and documentation to be able to officially admit you to the URV.
You need to fill in the application online within the following application deadlines:
- First semester / full year students: from April 1 to June 1, 2025
- Second semester students: April 1 to November 1, 2025
Required documentation
In addition to a series of personal information, you will also need to attach these documents to your application:
- Scanned copy of your valid ID or passport. The passport will be mandatory for students applying for a visa.
- A colour photograph in passport format.
- Learning agreement with the subjects you want to study at the URV, signed by you and signed and stamped by your home university.
- Academic record.
- Scanned copy of the European health card (mandatory for EU citizens) and/or copy of private accident insurance (mandatory for non-EU citizens). We recommend you to wait for the final acceptance of the URV before hiring an insurance. In the meantime, you can upload an extract to the online application explaining that you will get an insurance that will cover the entire period of your mobility stay in Spain. The URV can offer you an insurance policy. Contact: tecnico@erv.es
How to formalize your learning/training agreement
- Does your university require you to complete an Online Learning Agreement (OLA)? The URV is connected to the EWP network. We require you to upload your OLA in pdf to the application, which you can obtain once it has been approved by your home university.
- Choose a learning agreement model and enter your personal data in the document. You will then have to include the subjects you will study at the URV and the corresponding subjects approved by your university of origin. You can consult the subjects available at the URV in this link.
- In case of an internship, contact your URV supervisor, who will complete the information about the tasks you will carry out, the times and dates of the internship.
- Sign the document and ask your academic coordinator at your home university to sign and stamp it.
- Attach it to online registration.
- When you arrive at the URV, your mobility coordinator will have to sign and seal the document and formalize the registration at the secretary's office. If you need the document signed back before arriving at the URV, you must request the signature from your academic coordinator at the URV.
Step 2 - Admission
Once you have registered and correctly attached all the requested documents, you must email mobility.in@urv.cat indicating that you have registered. We will then review the submitted documentation and send it to your URV academic coordinator to review and give us your official acceptance. We will then prepare an acceptance letter and send it by email and post (only to students who need to apply for a visa to enter Spain, i.e. non-EU students).
Step 3 - Prepare your arrival
Check the MOBILITY STUDENT GUIDE for general information for future international students.
The International Center team organizes welcome meetings every semester for all mobility students. As the start of the semester approaches, we will email you showing the possible dates for the welcome meetings we have arranged, please confirm your attendance. Do not forget to check your e-mail - with which you registered with the URV - frequently, as we will contact you through this e-mail address.
Step 4 - Apply for a URV mentor
We will also email you asking if you would like us to assign you a URV Mentor.
The URV Mentor Program is a support and guidance program for international students driven by URV student volunteers. With this program we aim to facilitate the preparation of exchange students' arrival at the URV and their incorporation into our city and our university, helping them to integrate culturally, socially and academically.
