BIP: Blended Intensive Programmes
Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) are short-term intensive programs that use innovative learning and teaching methods, including online collaborative learning in particular. Programs may include challenge-based learning, in which transnational and transdisciplinary teams work together to solve challenges, such as those linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals or other social challenges identified by regions, cities or companies.
- "Blended": they combine the virtual exchange element with a face-to-face mobility stay
- "Intensive": the (physical) mobilities are short, between 5 and 30 days
- "Programme": This is a separate activity, although applied for on form KA131-HED
This innovative format that combines physical mobility with a virtual component opens up an opportunity for more flexible mobility without the barriers that often limit participation in traditional courses, it aspires to reach all kinds of participants, from any origin, field study and cycle.
They can be aimed at students, to complete a short course with academic recognition, or personal, to complete a training.
