Regulation for participation in URV team sports selections
To be part of the teams that participate in the Catalan University Championships (CCU), it is necessary to read this regulation carefully.
Enrolling in a team selection implies that the student has read and agrees to comply with this regulation.
Regulation for participation in URV team sports selections
-
To be eligible to join the URV team, you must complete the pre-registration form.
-
If there is not a minimum number of pre-registered students to form a team in a particular sport, no selection trainings will be called and no team will be created for that academic year.
-
Pre-registered students will be notified by email to participate in the selection trainings. Students must attend and actively participate in the trainings, which will take place in the months leading up to the competition.
-
Selected students will receive official confirmation from Esports URV by email. If no response is received, it will be understood that you have not been selected.
-
Throughout the academic year, students must maintain a responsible commitment to the team: attendance at trainings is mandatory and, above all, attendance at competition days.
-
Esports URV will provide the competition kit for the match days. This equipment will be delivered and collected on the same day of the match, and under no circumstances may players keep it. If the equipment is not returned, Esports URV reserves the right to impose sanctions.
-
Esports URV will give each player a URV hoodie and T-shirt. It is mandatory to wear them during competitions and, in case of winning a medal, also when collecting the award. This gift will only be provided in the first year of participation.
-
Travel will be by bus. The coordinating university of the competition will provide transportation from Tarragona to the competition venues.
-
If a team finishes first in the CCU, it may represent URV in the Spanish University Championships (CEU). Esports URV will cover travel and half-board expenses. Teams finishing in second place will not be considered.
-
Students participating in the competition may request a certificate of attendance, which must be requested via email from their URV student address to competicio@urv.cat. Before the competition, a call-up certificate may be issued, and after the event, a participation certificate may be provided.
-
According to the Academic Regulations for Undergraduate and Master's Degrees (approved by the Governing Council on February 20, 2025), art. 25.5.2 of Title II Assessment and Grading of Subjects, participation in official competitions (university debates, national or international sports competitions, etc.) is considered a justified absence, as well as participation by students recognized as high-level athletes.
-
-
Participation in at least two CCU match days entitles students to the recognition of 1 AUR credit. Participation in the CEU entitles them to 1 additional credit. The intention to request this recognition must be indicated on the pre-registration form.
-
In case of injury or sports accident while representing URV, students are covered by the mandatory additional accident insurance. If a student notices that it has not been included in their enrollment, they must contact their faculty office to add it. Having this insurance is mandatory in order to compete.
The official communication channel will always be the URV student email address.
