Regulation for participation in individual sports championships URV
To represent the URV in individual sports competitions at the Catalan University Championships (CCU), it is necessary to read this regulation carefully.
Registration implies that the student has read and agrees to comply with this regulation.
Regulation for participation in individual sports championships URV
- To be eligible to represent the URV in individual sports competitions, students must complete the pre-registration form. The deadline for doing so is 20 days before the championship takes place. The competition calendar can be consulted on the Esport Català Universitari website.
- Once the deadline has passed, the sports record of the pre-registered students will be assessed, and the selected athletes who will represent the URV in the competition will be notified.
- Esports URV will carry out the necessary registrations and confirmations for the student's participation in the CCU. Some competitions may require a second registration, which may be the responsibility of the student. It is essential to review the regulation published on the Esport Català Universitari website.
- Esports URV will provide all players with a URV sweatshirt and T-shirt. It is mandatory to wear them during competitions and, in the case of winning a medal, also when collecting the award. This gift will only be provided in the first year of participation. Depending on the sport, Esports URV will also provide competition clothing.
- Students are responsible for arranging their travel to the competition. Through a financial aid program, each student may apply for the Aid for students representing the URV in university sports championships, amounting to €25 per competition day. Esports URV will inform participants of the procedure to apply once their attendance has been confirmed. This aid does not cover participation in competitions not considered CCU (Unipadel, Unirun, Unitennis, Race League, or Uniclimb). Students from URV-affiliated centers are also not eligible.
- Students who win a gold medal at the CCU may qualify to participate in the Spanish University Championships (CEU). Participation in the CCU is a prerequisite. Exceptionally, and based on criteria such as commitment, effort, dedication, and financial availability, Esports URV reserves the right to review actual participation in the CEU.
- Participation in the European Championships will depend on the results obtained in the CEU. To qualify, students must win a gold, silver, or bronze medal at the CEU. Exceptionally, and following the same criteria as above, Esports URV reserves the right to review actual participation in the European Championships.
- Students participating in the competition may request a certificate of attendance, which must be requested via email from their URV student address to competicio@urv.cat. Before the competition, a call-up certificate may be issued, and after the event, a participation certificate may be provided. According to the Academic Regulations for Undergraduate and Master's Degrees (approved by the Governing Council on February 20, 2025), art. 25.5.2 of Title II Assessment and Grading of Subjects, participation in official competitions (university debates, national or international sports competitions, etc.) is considered a justified absence, as well as participation by students recognized as high-level athletes.

Participation in at least two CCU match days entitles students to the recognition of 1 AUR credit. Participation in the CEU entitles them to 1 additional credit. The intention to request this recognition must be indicated on the pre-registration form.

In case of injury or sports accident while representing URV, students are covered by the mandatory additional accident insurance. If a student notices that it has not been included in their enrollment, they must contact their faculty office to add it. Having this insurance is mandatory in order to compete.
