HOW DO I REGISTER?

2.1. Do I have to register at the secretary's office or online?

You must register via the online self-registration system during the specified period.

You can find additional information about the online self-registration process on the URV website.

You can also send your questions to the secretariat of your campus.



2.2. How do I access online self-registration?

Go to the URV website, scroll down to the section "Coming up" and click on the "Come and study at the URV" link. Once you have entered, you must choose the type of degree that you are studying, in this case "Master" and you will be taken to a page containing all the information you need on registering for your master's degree.

You will also find this page if you go to the URV's homepage, click on "Shortcuts" on the top right and select "Online registration"

You should remember that you can only start the online registration process during the specified registration period. 



2.3. I cannot access online self-registration, what should I do?

1. It is possible that you are not accessing correctly. You must check that you are trying to access during the specified registration period for

2. Your passwords might have to be reset.

  • Your username and password are the same as those that you use to access the URV's Digital Services (Intranet, Email, Virtual Campus, Electronic Journals, etc.).
  • If you get an error message when you try to register online with this username and password, you need to reset you password at the following link.
  • If you still cannot access online registration after resetting your password, contact your campus secretariat.

3. If you receive an error message regarding your username and password when you try to register online, ensure that you have introduced your username and password in the following manner:

Username:

► If you have a Spanish identity card (DNI): Your username is your identity card number in the following format 11111111-X

    · that is, with a hyphen between the numerals and the letter. The letter must also be a capital.

► If you have a Spanish Residence card (NIE), your username is your Spanish Residence card in one of the following formats: X1111111 or X-1111111-X. Although it is less frequent, you can also find the username written in one of the following ways: X1111111X or X1111111-X. 

Password:

This is the password that you use to access the Digital Services of the University. (Intranet, Wi-Fi, Email, Moodle Online Campus, Electronic Journals, etc.).
The first password that is assigned to you when you join the URV is you date of birth in the format DD-MMM-YY and this password will still be valid if you have never changed it that is:

  • two digits for the day of the month that you were born (e.g. 05 or 14 or 29, etc.)
  • hyphen
  • the first three letters of the month in which you were born, written in Catalan and CAPITAL LETTERS

Therefore, if it is the first time that you are accessing the Digital Services of the URV or if you have never changed your password, your username and password will be like the following examples:

► A person the Spanish identity card (DNI) number 39383736-K and born on 5 June 1991 will have:
                 ♦ Username: 39383736-K
                 ♦ Password: 05-JUN-91

► A person with the Spanish residence card (NIE) number X-9876543-G and born on 17 March 1982 will have: 
                 ♦ Username: X9876543 or X-9876543-G or X9876543-G or X9876543G
                 ♦ Password: 17-MAR-82



2.4. I cannot remember my intranet password, what should I do?

Do the following:

1. Go to the intranet and click on the link at the bottom of the page for cases where you have forgotten your password.

2. Click on "Identity Manager".


3. Click on "Change password".


4. You will be taken to the "Identity Manager of the URV". If you have already saved a question and an answer for these cases, enter your username and click on "Enter" so that you receive the prompt.

If you click on "Have you forgotten your password?" but then do not enter your username, you will be asked to provide an account ID.


5. When you have entered your ID (DNI/NIE/passport number), you will see the question that you entered previously.

6. After entering your answer, you will be taken to a page where you can change your password. Write the new password (check that it complies with the rules for creating passwords) and then confirm it in the field below. When you have finished, click on "Change password".

7. The Identity Manager will take you back to the start page and show you the following message: "Password successfully changed". 

8. If you have not already created a question for resetting your password, click on the link at the bottom of the start page of the Identity Manager, where it says: "If you have not created any identity questions, use the 'Frequent Questions' to reset your password".

9. The link will take you to the following page, where you need to click on "Reset Username".

10. Enter your details in the fields provided. You will need the information that appears on your student card.

11. As soon as you have filled in the fields, you will be given a new username and a new password.

12. Go back to the Identity Manager and introduce the new information.

13. Click on "Change password".

14. After entering your answer, you will be taken to a page where you can change your password. Write the new password (check that it complies with the rules for creating passwords) and then confirm it in the field below. When you have finished, click on "Change password" to complete the change.

15. You will see the following message confirming that you have successfully made the change. Click on "Ok" and you will be taken back to the main page of the Identity Manager.



2.5. How do I register online?

On the Online Registration website you will find the link "Go directly to Online Registration", where you will be able to complete the registration process.

If you are still not sure what you need to do, contact your campus secretariat.



2.6. What documentation do I need to bring to register?

2.7. How do I know that I have registered correctly?

When you have finished the registration process, you will receive an email confirming that you have registered correctly. We also recommend that your save your registration form and print it off as proof. Your registration form shows the subjects and number of credits that you have registered for, the amount that you have to pay and your chosen payment method. If you did not save the registration form when you registered, you can obtain a copy by clicking on "My payments".

You can also go to the URV's intranet and check your academic and financial record to see which subjects you have registered for, the amount that you have to pay and your chosen payment method.



2.8. How do I print off my registration form? I have lost my registration form, how can I get another one?

You must do this at the end of the online registration process and can do it in the same place where you have completed your registration. If you have not saved a copy, you can go back into the online registration application between 16.00 and 23.59 over the following five days and print one off.

If you do not have a printer, you can print of the your registration in one of the URV's computer rooms.

After five days, you need to go into the "My payments" platform if you want to print off your registration form.
