Adrian Moreno (Investigador Ramón y Cajal)
Dr. Adrian Moreno obtained his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Rovira i Virgili University (URV) in 2014. He subsequently completed his M.Sc. (2014-2015) and Ph.D. (2015-2019) at the same institution under the supervision of Prof. M. Galià and Dr. Gerard Lligadas. His doctoral research focused on the development of polymeric materials from renewable resources and controlled radical polymerization. During his Ph.D., he carried out a six-month research stay as a visiting Ph.D. student in the laboratory of Prof. Virgil Percec at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn, Philadelphia, USA). After obtaining his Ph.D., he joined the research group of Prof. M. Sipponen at Stockholm University, where he worked on the development of lignin-based advanced materials. In 2022, he returned to URV as a postdoctoral researcher and associate professor. In 2023, he was awarded a Ramón y Cajal contract, consolidating his profile as an independent researcher in Suspol group.
