SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMMES PER NETWORK
| INU Hiroshima Student Seminar |
The Universitat Rovira i Virgili is a member of the INU (International Network of Universities), which organises different seminars and summer courses for students from universities in the network. Each year in August, the INU holds a seminar at the University of Hiroshima, Japan. The seminar is entirely in English so students who attend need to demonstrate that they meet a minimum required level of English. You can find out more about the seminar here. URV students can apply to participate in the seminar through this form. |
| UNPAR International Student Conference (ISC) |
Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (UNPAR) annually organizes the International Student Conference on Global Citizenship, which brings together Indonesian students and international students to explore globally relevant issues with the aim of fostering the students' sense of their responsibility as global citizens. Students participate in a series of lectures, have opportunities to express their feelings and share their thoughts, while also undertaking visits to local places of interest and being introduced to Indonesian culture. | INU Internship Programme |
This programme offers students the chance to carry out a short internship at institutions in the INU network. Student requirements are; Be registered at a university in the INU network (in this case the URV), have a good command of English and meet the specific requirements of each internship that they wish to pursue. | Henry Fong Award |
Each year, the INU honours an outstanding student from the INU network who exemplifies commitment to the concept of global citizenship. The INU defines global citizenship as awareness of the world as a global community and recognition of the rights and responsibilities of citizens within it. This award is possible thanks to the generous donation made by Dr Henry Fong Yun-Wah, prominent Hong Kong business leader, philanthropist and Honorary Doctor of Letters at La Trobe University in Australia. |

Global Citizenship and Sustainable Futures: Learning form Changes program (online program). |
This online program explores what it means to be a global citizen through learning and reflecting on a range of key global issues. The learning objectives for students, among others, undertaking the program are: To gain knowledge and an understanding of current affairs, to be able to analyse and interpret information about own and other cultures and demonstrate a clear understanding of the complexity of elements important to members of one culture concerning its history, values, politics, communication styles, economy, or beliefs and practices, to foster civic-mindedness and a sense of societal responsibility, promoting actions and activities and develop an understanding of and commitment to democratic principles and those of human dignity and respect. |

Three-week international summer program at James Madison University (Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA) aimed at students from INU member universities. The program combines interdisciplinary coursework, experiential learning, and international teamwork to develop competencies in artificial intelligence, global employability, leadership, and innovation. It includes courses taught by JMU faculty, academic and cultural visits, and a final project focused on global challenges. The program takes place from July 13 to July 31, 2026, and offers a certificate of completion and the option of academic credit. | JMU Cross-Cultural Summer Program: Leadership and Global Engagement |
James Madison University's Multicultural Summer Program works on the concepts of leadership and global engagement and takes place at JMU in Harrisonburg, Virginia (USA). Academic components include a variety of classes and lectures offered by JMU teaching staff and guest speakers. Cultural programmes include visiting historic sites in Washington D.C. and interaction with the local community. |

If the international week is promoted or co-organized by a network of which the URV is a member, students can ask to participate in it and for help from the I-Networks.

SGroup PhD Cup |
This event gives PhD candidates of SGroup institutions a unique opportunity to benefit from soft skill training to and compete to receive a 1000€ SGroup PhD Mobility Grant. |
| SGroup International Staff Week |
The SGroup International Staff Week is an initiative that brings together staff from SGroup member institutions so they can share best practices and experiences regarding specific topics with their colleagues while creating the perfect platform for cooperation. The SGroup International Staff Week will take place from 3 to 7 June 2024, organized by the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Poland. This year, the programme will focus on Critical Pedagogy in Higher Education. You can find more information here. The link to register is here. |
| Researcher Mobility Program |
Programme intended for doctoral students and post-docs from the INU network so they can conduct research at an associated university of the INU. The Researcher Mobility Program provides the opportunity for early researchers (who have completed their PhD within the past 5 years) to engage in research at another INU member university. | INU Staff Knowledge Exchange Program |
This programme aims to strengthen the links between network members by providing opportunities for administrative staff to visit, study, discuss and learn about the administration and governance systems of each other's institutions. During the visit the visiting staff member gets to shadow a member of staff at the host university for one or two weeks with the result that both participants benefit from the exchange of good practices.Staff Knowledge Exchange ' International Network of Universities This programme is funded by the sending and host institutions as follows:
Travel and accommodation expenses, with help from the I-Networks.
Arranging and funding accommodation (hotel or homestay) for the visiting staff member and for covering the cost of ad hoc meals (e.g. by arranging a lunch/dinner for the visiting staff member). In order to request this aid, you must contact the INU representative at the URV: Rebeca Tomás. |
| INU's Professional Staff Training |
Organized every year, this training offers the staff of member universities the chance to participate in active learning about best practices in issues affecting students and administration. Participants take part in workshops, networks, presentations and cultural events. The goal is active participation in the planning and implementation of training for both visiting and host staff. INU members decide on the focus of their training based on their interests. |

| Participation in INU Boards of Directors |
If a member of the teaching or administrative staff at the URV asks to participate in an INU programme, the expenses incurred by the institution of origin, in this case the URV, will be processed through the competitive call I-Networks. |
