URV Festival

Don't miss the URV Festival! On March 19, the entire university community will gather at Parc del Francolí (Tarragona) for a festive day full of activities: communal lunch, concerts, karaoke, sports, DJ contest, music bingo, T-shirt contest, food trucks, tents, and more. A day to have fun together!

Ticket sales for the event will begin on February 10 at 2 pm (until sold out) - tickets cost €4 (including wristband and cup) - these tickets are available only for the URV community (by registering with your URV email on the ticketing platform), and one ticket per person may be purchased.



Remember that everyone who wants to participate must have a festival ticket.

COACH DEPARTURE

Come to the URV Festa Major with free buses!

Pre-registration is required.

The drop-off point will be near the main entrance of the Festa Major.

11:45 h - OPENING AND MARCHING BAND WELCOME

The Pujats de To marching band will welcome everyone with music and celebration along Parc del Francolí.

12:45 h - CASTELLER PERFORMANCE BY PATAQUERS

Enjoy a traditional castellers (human towers) performance by Pataquers, URV's colla castellera.

13:00 h - INSTITUTIONAL SPEECHES

Josep Pallarès Marzal, Rector of Universitat Rovira i Virgili, and Rubén Viñuales Elías, Mayor of Tarragona.

13:45 - 15:00 h - DJ CANOO & BRUNTO PUERTAS

DJs Canoo and Bruno Puertas, winners of the 2025 URV Festival DJ Contest, will enliven the midday session. They promise us fun, excitement, and the best music - don't miss it!

14:00 - 16:00 h - COMMUNITY LUNCH

Enjoy a plate of traditional chicken and rabbit rice or a vegan option (gluten-free) and share lunch with the entire URV community. You can also bring your own meal.

There will be food trucks throughout the day. Please note that no drinks or glass objects are allowed inside Parc del Francolí.

15:00 - 16:15 h - MUSIC BINGO

750 bingo cards will be distributed with drink purchases at the bar until they run out.

16:15 - 17:45 h - GROUP KARAOKE CONTEST

Are you a small group and want to perform at the URV Festival? Share your song with the community!

Choreographies, costumes, and showmanship are all welcome!

Each performance will last 5 minutes. The best karaoke act will be chosen based on both the jury's evaluation and a popular vote, each counting for 50%.

16:00 - 19:00 h - SPORTS COMPETITIONS

3x3 Basketball

Do you enjoy playing basketball? Don't miss the chance to take part in this mixed tournament open to the entire URV community.

Spinning Masterclass

Get ready to pedal to the rhythm of the music! Join the spinning masterclass and enjoy a high-energy session open to the whole URV community.

Rowing Masterclass

Have you ever tried rowing? Here's your chance to test yourself without even getting into the water!

The session is open to the entire URV community.

In collaboration with Rem Cambrils.

17:50 - 19:40 h - DJ CONTEST

Is music your passion? Do you love making everyone dance and have fun?

Don't miss the chance to perform as a DJ at the URV Festival.

Each performance will last 25 minutes. The best DJ session will be chosen based on the evaluations of a jury and a public vote, each weighing 50 %.
You must register in advance through the link at the top of this page.

The winner will perform at the 2027 URV Festival.

At the end of the day, prizes will be awarded for this contest, the group karaoke, the T-shirt contest, and the sports competitions.

20:00 - 23:00 h - FEMME VERSIONS CONCERT & DJ CEBA

The cover band FEMME VERSIONS, this all-female quintet, will turn a festival night into a journey through the most iconic voices in music. You'll be able to listen and dance to thrilling medleys featuring the most famous parts of the greatest hits performed by women throughout the decades.

 

Since 2017, DJ Ceba, from Reus, has been bringing energy to venues and parties across the country with a unique and versatile style that spans multiple decades and genres. His sessions mix classics from the 1980s and 1990s with pop, rock, and festive hits from the 2000s, while also embracing the latest rhythms from both the Catalan scene and commercial music. His goal is to get everyone dancing with a selection of recognizable hits and a steady beat that keeps the dance floor alive. Each session becomes a festive, dynamic experience designed to make every night feel like a true festa major.

FAQ

Event Access

When first entering the venue, you must show the QR code from your ticket. After this, you will receive a wristband that allows you to enter and exit freely without needing to scan the QR code again.

Can I buy a ticket on the day of the event?

There will be no tickets sold on the day of the festival. We encourage you to buy your ticket as soon as possible.

Lunch

To order the paella, you will need to scan the same QR code from your ticket, as long as you have purchased a meal ticket. Therefore, once you have entered the venue, do not delete your ticket.

I don't like paella. Is there an alternative?

Yes! Food trucks will be available at the venue. You can also bring your own food.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, but you cannot bring glass objects into Parc del Francolí.

Can I bring my own drinks?

No. Only drinks purchased inside the Festa Major venue are allowed. Drinks will be served exclusively in the official festival cup. Free water will be available.

I bought a ticket—can I leave and come back?

Yes! As long as your wristband is intact, you can re-enter freely.

How does the T-shirt contest work?

Those who want to participate can sign up by accessing the link at the top of the page. You can print the t-shirts or make them with paint or markers. The most important thing is creativity and wordplay! Wit has a prize!

Groups or collectives are welcome to join, including students, staff, faculty, researchers, and teachers...
