Language and Publications Service
Presentation
The Language and Publications Service is entrusted with implementing the URV's language policy directives. It manages and carries out the projects and actions determined by the University's governing bodies and the Language Policy Committee to progress towards the normal use of Catalan as the University's own language and, at the same time, encourage pluri- and multilingualism.
To this end, it engages in language planning and promotion, language and cultural induction, the collection of indicators of language use and management of language rights. The Service also provides courses and accreditation in Catalan and other languages (English, French, Italian and Spanish for foreigners), and a language consultancy service (correction and translation, language queries, and language criteria in Catalan, Spanish and English).
In 2006, Publicacions URV joined the Service to publish and disseminate university research and teaching in society. For further information, visit the website www.llengues.urv.cat
