Curriculum Vitae

I was born in Madrid in 1970 and hold a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. In 1994, I joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, where I have developed my entire academic and professional career. I currently serve as Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Commissioner for Process Optimisation at the URV. For more than thirty years, I have combined teaching, research and academic management with a strong commitment to serving the institution.

I have taught mainly in the fields of mechanical and industrial engineering at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Throughout my career, I have maintained a strong commitment to teaching quality, educational innovation and student support. I have also promoted initiatives to encourage scientific and technological vocations, particularly among girls and young women, convinced that gender equality is a strategic challenge for the future of engineering.

My research focuses on experimental and computational mechanics, specialising in the modelling and characterisation of functional materials. I have led several competitive research projects, published numerous scientific articles and carried out extensive knowledge transfer activities aimed at generating a tangible impact on society and industry.

Throughout my career, I have held a range of academic management positions that have given me a broad understanding of how the university operates. My experience as Head of Department and Commissioner for Process Optimisation has enabled me to contribute to the design and implementation of strategic projects for the university, always guided by collaboration, consensus and a strong commitment to the university community.
