Strategic Internationalisation Plan

Mobility, curriculum and cooperation

This is the URV's fourth Strategic Internationalisation Plan, following its first Strategic Internationalisation Plan for 2009-13, its second Strategic Internationalisation Plan for 2014 to 2019, and the International Vision of the URV 2025, which was created in 2020 and from which this document has evolved. The end of the period covered by the last plan in 2025 has been used as an opportunity to take stock and determine which way the URV should go from here.

The Strategic Internationalisation Plan (SIP) consists of three main pillars: the mobility of people, the internationalisation of the curriculum, and the strengthening of relationships with other teaching and research institutions.

Three ideas underpin the set of actions proposed in the document. The first is that internationalisation can only be achieved with the participation of everyone and thus requires the cooperation of all units, centres and departments. With this goal in mind, the aim is for the Internationalisation Plan of each faculty/school to establish a communication channel to facilitate everything from attracting talent to mobility. The second idea is to provide support for teaching staff involved in Erasmus+ projects which, due to their duration, do not lead to permanent positions, but which nevertheless require highly specialised project managers. The third idea is to simplify staff mobility by channelling it through a one stop shop with clear and fast procedures.

Mission

To define and implement a transversal framework that drives forward the internationalisation of URV through the active participation of the entire university community. The SIP promotes internationalisation that fosters mobility, talent attraction and global collaboration, while also strengthening the university's international presence.
