The Master's Degree essentially aims to provide specialized and comprehensive training for those who wish to work or carry out research in the various disciplines that make up the criminal justice system. The training is specifically designed for graduates in law, criminology, psychology, sociology, political science and other crime-related social sciences that focus on criminal law, criminal procedure, criminology and victimology.
As an academic, research-oriented master's degree, students will not only study such subjects as substantive criminal law, criminal procedure, criminology and victimology, but also be trained in research methodology. They will then acquire the necessary knowledge and methodological skills to take their first steps in the world of research, and be prepared to embark on a doctoral thesis.
