Challenge-Based Innovation Coordination
About this BIP
The BIP "Challenge-Based Innovation Coordination" is addressed to technical and academic staff dedicated to challenge-based Learning at partner universities.
This Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) addresses best practices in the coordination of Challenge-Based and Problem-Based Learning. It is designed to equip participants with the skills needed to work effectively in multidisciplinary, multicultural, and transnational teams while tackling real, future-oriented challenges proposed by partner organizations.
The learning experience is delivered through a mixed approach (online activities combined with one week of on-site work in Tortosa), using active methodologies grounded in Lean Design, Design Thinking, and Challenge-Based Learning. Participants work in international teams and are supported by continuous facilitation from academic staff, expert feedback, and structured milestone checkpoints. The program integrates team building, idea generation, rapid prototyping, solution validation, and pitching techniques, supported by collaborative digital tools as well as challenge-specific scientific papers and technical resources.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course unit the learner is expected to be able to:
- Create and coordinate Challenge Based Learning Experiences
- Develop a teamwork plan that answers the future challenge of the partner organizations
- Develop innovative and creative solutions to the future challenges launched, with a value proposition for the end user.Develop a teamwork plan that answers the future challenge of the partner organizations
