Frequently asked questions

Survey of student satisfaction with university teaching staff

Time period in which the surveys can be answered

The calendar is different for each centre and department. The Evaluation Committee of the Teaching and Research Group (CACDI) establishes the time periods annually, and they are published on the teaching and research staff evaluation website.

Anonymity of surveys

The surveys are anonymous.

Reason for validation on the virtual campus to be able to answer surveys

Surveys are accessed through Moodle to verify that the student has the right to answer them because they are enrolled in the subject. There is no link that relates the student to their answers.

Questionnaire

The questions for the assessment of lecturers are:

  • Does he/she clearly explain content?
  • Does he/she comply with the course guide for the subject?
  • Do I think that overall all he/she is a good lecturer?

Responses are given on a scale from 0 to 10.

Evaluated teaching staff

The student evaluates all the teachers who teach them in a regulated way, mainly for degrees and master's degrees in which they are enrolled during the course, with the exception of the final degree projects and external internships, which have their own survey.

In the case of interuniversity degrees, only teaching staff from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili will be evaluated and not teaching staff from the other participating universities.

Evaluation of several teachers who teach the same subject

When the survey is answered, all the teachers of the subject to be assessed and who have taught that subject must be selected at the same time. The procedure to follow can be consulted here (video link).

Re-accessing the survey once it has been answered

Once the survey has been answered, it can no longer be modified.

Consequences of the assessment

The results of the surveys are one of the elements that are later used to evaluate the teaching complements, recognitions, renewal of contracts, accreditations and certifications that the teaching staff can request, both from the university and from external evaluation bodies at the autonomous community (AQU Catalunya) and state (ANECA) levels.
