Objectives

The general objective is to promote health and prevent diseases through a healthy and sustainable diet and lifestyle among people who study and work at the URV.

The specific objectives are:

  • Assess compliance with the Mediterranean diet and the lifestyle of people who work and study at the URV.
  • To make known the importance of following a healthy and sustainable diet and lifestyle for our health and for the planet.
  • Review and complete the "Guide for the promotion of health and sustainability in the organization and celebration of institutional and academic events of the URV".
  • Enhance the consumption of Mediterranean diet foods that are consumed less than the recommendations that have been observed in the surveys.
  • Identify and highlight the nutritional value of healthy and sustainable foods by enhancing the food of our country (km 0, proximity and seasonal) and promoting its consumption.
  • Organize actions to promote the availability of healthy and sustainable food, promoting healthier and more sustainable food advertising and proposals in automatic sales machines, restaurants and cafeterias on campus through an affordable price.
  • To provide guidelines for healthy, sustainable, easy and economical food both at home and for lunch boxes that are used day by day, and also for catering services.
  • Reduce sedentary lifestyle and improve stress.
  • Promote that all activities carried out at the URV are aligned with the precepts of healthy and sustainable food, and also with the materials used, taking into account the reduction of food waste
