The Office of the Vice-rector for Transfer and Innovation works to establish links between society and business, and to promote the transfer of knowledge and technology. It seeks to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship, and to develop science and technology parks and relations with all kinds of technology centres.

It is also responsible for the Centre for Technology Transfer and Innovation of the URV Foundation and for the university-business chairs. It monitors relations with organizations and chambers of commerce, professional associations and companies.

It is also part of the Knowledge Region Office.
