Qualitat de la recerca
Certified under the requirements of ISO standard 9001, the URV's quality management system ensures the quality of the research, development, innovation, and knowledge and technology transfer carried out by the institution's research groups and innovation centres.
The first set of 15 research structures was successfully audited at the end of 2007, thus obtaining the certification of the Quality Management System for Research, Development, Innovation, and Knowledge and Technology Transfer. Since then and until May 2018, 29 scientific-technological research units have been externally certified, which correspond to 24 research groups and 5 innovation centres.
The award of the ISO, which has led to increased competitiveness and represents international recognition of the quality of the research at the URV, has:
Allowed the organisation to develop.
Shown the URV's commitment to quality and the satisfaction of the users.
Enabled the URV to supervise and improve the management processes and system.
Improved the responsibility, motivation and commitment of the staff.
Improved how the units are organised and managed.
Increased the chances of acquiring competitive projects and contracts.
The university's policy on quality is to continue moving forward, as reflected in line of action 5 of the 2nd Strategic Plan for Research and Innovation of the URV, approved in June 2017, which includes lines of action in the field of quality, evaluation and recognition of research. In this context, on May 27, 2018, the validity of the ISO 9001: 2008 certificate ended and the certification was not renewed. At present, work is currently underway on a quality management system based on an R+D+I Management Good Practices Code, which will be available for all research groups and other research structures of the University.
The quality management system has been recognised as a good practice in the call for funding by the UPC's Telescopi Espanya of the UNESCO Chair (Telescopi)
