The main objectives of this master’s degree are the following:

To train candidates in the methodology of the Cultural Studies in the English speaking countries.
To familiarize candidates with the existent relations between written and filmed test and the cultural contexts where they are produced.
To develop the candidate’s ability to identify, assess and understand different cultural manifestations.
To develop the ability to make criticism in order to understand the problems derived from the heterogeneity of contemporary English speaking societies in their written and filmed manifestations.

To analyze texts of specific content related to the cultural studies
To process information of diverse origin related to Cultural Studies
To articulate an academic coherent speech based on the scientific analysis of the obtained information.
To analyze diverse artistic manifestations of English speaking countries differing between the concepts of analysis and opinion
To know in depth the principal theoretical currents that integrate the Cultural Studies and that have influenced the cultural production of the English speaking countries.
To contrast the interactions between different disciplines and Cultural Studies
To develop investigative skills in order to allow autonomy in the learning process.
To apply different theoretical models to the textual and contextual analysis
To value the synergies that generates multi-culturality in the English speaking societies.
To elaborate an own speech on the English speaking based on the scientific knowledge, the respect to the political, cultural, personal diversity, and equality.
