• The criteria deemed suitable for determining whether the educational level of the student is equivalent to the Spanish qualification of university master’s degree

Once a decision has been taken:

• Candidates will be informed via e-mail of whether they have been admitted. They shall also be told the name of their thesis supervisor, the line of research they shall be investigating, and the date, time and place of the first tutorial with their supervisor about their thesis.
• The list of candidates admitted and excluded will be published on the website set up for this purpose.
• The relevant agreement and documents will be sent to the chairperson of the Postgraduate and Doctoral Committee by means of the Academic Management Service before the 25th of every month (October to May)

    • According to the regulation governing official postgraduate programmes at the URV, for candidates to be admitted on a doctoral programme they must have completed the research track of a master’s degree.

If candidates have completed the professional track of a master’s degree, the body responsible for the programme shall assess whether some of the subjects can be considered to be equivalent to those of the research track.

Whatever the case may be, by studying the academic transcript and the curriculum vitae, the body responsible for the doctoral programme will determine whether the candidates comply with the requirements and can be directly admitted on the programme, or whether they need to do some further background studies more directed at research training.
