Postponement until September of the second exam session for the Master's Thesis subject (when the curriculum states that it is a first-semester subject).

  • DESCRIPTION: This is the process that the student follows when they apply for the second exam session of the Master's Thesis subject to be postponed until September.

Who

The interested party or the authorized person on presentation of the necessary identification.

  • For 1st semester subjects: from the date of registration until 20 May.

Observations

If the faculty/school deems that it will improve the organization of the master's degree, the coordinator can request that the final grade be awarded in September without the need for the student to do so.

If the exam session is postponed to September for all registered students, those who wish to defend their Master's Thesis during the June exam session must specifically request to do so in advance.

Head of the Secretary's Office.

When

Wherever possible, when the application is made. At most, five days after presenting the application and any necessary documentation.

How

  • If the request is accepted, the student's transcript will be updated to include the change of exam session.
    They will be visible on the transcript, which means that it is not necessary to send a separate explicit notification to the individual (the transcript can be consulted on the intranet).

  • If the application is rejected, the individual concerned will be notified.

None.

Observations

  • The resolution will take into account any favourable report by the head/coordinator of the master's degree for which the student has registered. 
  • If the student does not pass the subject in June/September, he/she must re-register for the subject the following academic year and pay the corresponding registration fee.

 If there are any differences between translations, the Catalan version prevails.
