Associate to the 6th French-Spanish Workshop on the Chemistry and Physics of the Solid State and just after it, a workshop on solid state lasers will be held in order to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the discovery of this type of lasers.

The organising committee expect to offer a forum to exchange opinions in order to revise the evolution of lasers from its discovery, to analyse the current situation of these devices and to debate future strategies through speakers with a relevant and recognized career in this field from the USA, Japan and Europe.

The aim of the organising committee is that this workshop attracts the attention of not only Spanish and French research groups from but from everywhere working in this field.
