Bioenergy with carbon capture, a strategic technology toward net zero.
Date 29 of April 2025.
Theme: The energy transition that we are living now is not just about replacing fossil fuels with renewable sources. It also implies decisively addressing the net reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and here technologies such as BECCS play a fundamental role. BECCS consists, in essence, of harvesting biomass with a renewable energy source, capturing the CO₂ that is generated during its transformation or combustion, and immagatze it permanently in geological formations or use it in a way that it is not released back into the atmosphere. That is to say, it is one of the few technologies that allow negative emissions: removing CO₂ from the atmosphere and removing it from the global carbon cycle. In this webinar, these technologies and their potential for the elimination of CO₂ will be explored. The webinar will arouse great interest, surpassing the five-cent registrations.
