MALDI-HIGH RESOLUTION MASS SPECTROMETER

The equipment combines a mass analyzer for the detection of high resolution and accurate mass, coupled to a matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) source. It allows data acquisition in MS and MS/MS mode, to facilitate the molecular identification and quantification of organic compounds in complex matrices. Besides, it is compatible with the acquisition of Imaging Mass Spectrometry (MSI) experiments.

CHARACTERISTICS

- Laser ionization source (MALDI) that allows the ionization of thermolabile molecules.

- High Resolution Mass Spectrometer (HRMS) with a minimum resolution of 40,000 (at 500 m/z), and a Time of Flight (TOF) analyzer, or an Orbitrap analyzer.

- Tandem MS experiments by coupling the high resolution mass spectrometer with a nominal resolution MS (such as a quadrupole or a linear ion trap), or by TOF/TOF technology.

- m/z range of at least 50-3000

- Experiment acquisition in the mode Imaging Mass Spectrometry (MSI).
