Matthias Dahm obtained his Ph.D. in 2002 from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona after pursuing undergraduate studies at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum and Université Louis Pasteur Strasbourg. 

Before joining the faculty in Reus, Matthias spent two years as a Visiting Scholar at the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University and taught at the Universidad de Alicante as well as Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Recently, he visited twice for a total of eight months the Department of Economics at the University of California, Irvine. From 2009 to 2011 he was member of the dean's office and.
