El Pla estratègic d'internacionalització de la URV (PEI) aprovat per Claustre el 28 de maig de 2009 proporciona un mapa de ruta detallat dels objectius internacionals de la Universitat i de la planificacioó dels propers i cinc anys. El PEI, que s'ha elaborat i aprovat simultàniament i coordinadament amb el Pla estratègic de tercera missió, culmina el procés de definició de la visió de la Universitat -completada amb el Pla estratègic de docència i el Pla estratègic de recerca-, que descriu una URV fortament arrelada al seu territori i, alhora, plenament integradaen els espais globals d'educació superior i de recerca, amb el convenciment que el caràcter internacional de la seva activitat contribueix també decisivament al desenvolupament territorial i, amb aquest, el de tot país.
The URV's Strategic Internationalization Plan was approved by the University Senate on 28 May 2009 and provides a detailed route map of the university's international objectives and plans for the coming five years. The Strategic Internationalization Plan, which was drafted and approved in conjunction with the Strategic Third Mission Plan, is the culmination of the process defining the university's vision -completed by the Strategic Teaching Plan and the Strategic Research Plan. This vision describes a URV that is strongly rooted in the community it serves, fully integrated into global further education and research, and convinced that the international nature of its activities will make a decisive contribution to the developement of both the region and the entire country.
