The main aim of the Master's Degree in Teaching Foreign Languages is to train professionals to teach Spanish and English as foreign languages. Students are provided with a theoretical base and the practical instruments required to organize the teaching of Spanish and English as foreign languages The content of the programme guarantees an in-depth knowledge of the language chosen and familiarity with the didactic techniques and methodologies that are most appropriate for effective teaching.
The programme contains a number of credits that are common to the two specialities (English and Spanish) as well as subjects that are specific to each one.
As well as the professional mode, the Master's Degree in Teaching Foreign Languages also has a research mode designed for those students who wish to focus on a theoretical or practical aspect of the field of foreign language teaching at doctorate level.

Professional track: Spanish or English teaching in language teaching institutions in Spain or abroad; Spanish or English assistantships at foreign universities; work in sheltered classrooms (Spanish) in primary and secondary schools; cultural mediation; tourism and English/Spanish/English translation. Research track: university undergraduate teaching of Spanish and English, and university postgraduate teaching of Spanish and English as foreign languages.
