University Master's Degree in Youth and Society

Presentation

The aim of the Master's Degree is to consolidate a permanent range of courses in the area of research, intervention and public policies concerning youth. It is a course that is both interdisciplinary and interuniversity, and it hopes to attract the professionals, researchers and teachers who work or plan to work in this sector.

The Master's Degree is designed for social educators (juvenil justice, primary care social services, educational residential centres, education in secondary schools, youth mediation, education in youth leisure) leisure and sports monitors; youth and cultural centre managers; youth hostel managers; youth culture managers; public safety officers; health officers; personal service specialists; secondary and university teachers; research students in the social sciences; psychopedagogues, pedagogues and psychologists; sociologists; anthropologists and all other professionals interested in youth.

Career opportunities may be found as: youth specialists, education specialists, culture specialists, heads of youth programmes or centres, directors and coordinators of youth institutions and services, intercultural mediators and conflict managers, youth counsellors and researchers into youth issues, among others.
