Erasmus Mundus Master's degree in Transitions and Innovations in Enotourism - 1st edition

Admission

The Master's Degree in Transitions and Innovations in Wine Tourism is aimed at graduates with a bachelor's degree of at least 180 ECTS credits* in the following fields:

  • Social sciences: for example, tourism, economics, business administration and management, marketing, journalism and geography.
  • Natural and experimental sciences: for example, oenology or viticulture, agricultural engineering, biotechnology and food science and technology.
  • Humanities: for example, languages and international relations.
  • Other degrees closely related to the subject matter of the master's programme.

Applicants are required to have at least a B2 level in English.
In addition, personal motivation, previous experience in the wine, tourism or wine tourism sectors, as well as demonstrable language skills (preferably in the languages of the organising universities: Spanish, French and Portuguese) are key criteria in the selection process.


* Applicants in the final year of their bachelor's degree at an EU-based university may apply for admission provided that they complete their studies before the start of the master's degree.

Admission documentation

Applicants must first fill in the online pre-registration form.
Then, they will be sent an email with instructions to upload scanned copies of all the following general compulsory documentation to the online document manager:

  • Valid national ID card (only UE citizens) or passport.
  • Bachelor's degree certificate (and master's degree certificate, if it is required to accredit 180 ECTS credits).
  • A maximum 6-page CV in English in Europass format, with a picture of the applicant and the email addresses of two referees.
  • Erasmus Mundus grant applicants have to submit the signed declaration. You can find the declaration model here.  

As well as the general compulsory documentation, applicants must also submit the following documents:

  • A certificate of a B2 level in English or higher according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, issued up to two years prior to the beginning of the master's programme. On this link you can check the list of accepted certificates and exceptions applicable.
  • Motivation letter in English, different from the CV.
  • Applicants may also submit proof of skills in other languages.

Selection criteria

  1. Appropriateness of the access qualification, up to 25 points.
  2. Academic transcript of the access qualification, up to 20 points.

  3. Other training related to the content of the master's degree, international mobility and professional experience in the field of the master's degree, up to 25 points.

  4. Motivation letter and professional project related to the field of the master's degree, up to 30 points.

Applicants who pass the first phase of profile evaluation must submit a short presentation video, which the committee will evaluate in order to determine which students shall finally be admitted and which shall be placed on the waiting list.
