  • When can I apply for a place on a Masters programme?

From the opening of the pre-enrolment period. For the academic year 2008-09 the period is as follows:

• 1st phase:
      - 1st March - 30th April 2008 (existing Masters programmes)
      - 10th April - 16th May 2008 (new Masters programmes)

• 2nd Phase:
      - 1st - 30th June 2008 (all those Masters which, after the end of the 1st phase, have still places available)

• 3rd Phase:
      - in the case of Masters programmes with places available, a third enrolment phase may be opened up in September 2008.

  • How do I apply?

Through the on-line pre-enrolment process. Access from the URV home page: Masters & Postgraduate programmes -> Official EHEA Masters programmes -> On-line pre-enrolment

  • Can I pre-enrol for more than one Masters programme?

No, you can only enrol for one, but when you fill in the pre-enrolment form you can put in two more preferences to be taken into account in the event that you do not get a place on your first choice Masters programme.

  • What documentation do I need to submit?

You will find general information on the URV website: Masters & Postgraduate programmes -> Official EHEA Masters programmes -> Documentation necessary . You will need to adapt the information to your specific academic situation.

  • When do I have to submit the documentation?

Documentation must be submitted before the end of the corresponding pre-enrolment period.

  • What minimum qualifications do I need for admission to a Masters programme?

Anybody with a recognised university degree can apply for a place.

  • If the course I have followed is not organised in credits, can I get onto a Masters programme?

In theory, yes. However, your academic transcript will need to be appraised in the light of the stipulations of the regulations for access to the Masters programme.

  • If I hold more than one degree, which should I state for the pre-enrolment?

The one specified in the regulations for access to the Masters programme. You can consult these regulations at the right-hand side of each Masters programme information page, under Further Information.

Moreover, when you pre-enrol, in the field "Admission Qualifications" you will see further information to resolve any doubts you may have.

  • Do I have to make any payment for pre-enrolment?

No.

  • If I do not agree with the decision about admission, may I resort?

Yes. The notification of the decision includes information about the resorts you may file and the terms to do it.

  • How will I know whether I have completed pre-enrolment properly?

After completing it you need to print out and keep the receipt, which you may need at some stage in the process. Also, you will receive an e-mail telling you that your application has been recorded properly. If you do not receive this e-mail, you must get in touch with the Secretary of the Faculty.

  • How can I find out about the criteria for admission?

They are outlined in the regulations governing admission to the Masters programme. These regulations are to be found at the right-hand side of each Masters programme information page, under Further Information.

  • Who decides upon admission to a Masters programme?

The body responsible for the Masters programme.

  • When and how will I find out whether I have been admitted?

A list of students showing the assignment of places will be posted on the centre's noticeboard. It can also be consulted on the URV website.
In the case of inter-university Masters programmes you will receive notification concerning admission from the co-ordinating university.
