Final project - Demographic study of Sant Jordi neighborhood and citizen participation plan

  • Summary: The following proposal was first presented at the 1st Social Projects Marketplace held in Reus. It is an interdisciplinary project carried out jointly with the Degree in Geography and Territorial Organization. The students will carry out a social, demographic and economic study of the Sant Jordi neighborhood. They will also propose a social revitalization and participation plan for the neighborhood.

Final project - Economic impact on the employment of people with severe mental illness

  • Summary: This proposal can be traced back to the 1st Social Projects Marketplace. People with severe mental disorders have traditionally had considerable difficulties to access the ordinary labor market. Since 2005, the Pere Mata Foundation has been working with a Special Work Centre that currently provides 90 people with protected work. Today these people are no longer disability pensioners and have become taxpayers. The aim of the project is to make a study of the economic impact of giving career opportunities to people with severe mental disorders.

Final project - Employment of people with physical disabilities

  • Community organization: ECOM Foundation
  • Summary: The objective of this project, which was presented in the 1st Social Projects Marketplace, is to help the Foundation improve the services it provides for disabled people and better understand the users of these services and the work experience they have. The aim is to propose measures to improve the efficiency of the services offered to the users. Thanks to the information provided by the ECOM Foundation, the current situation of people with functional diversity in the labor market of the Camp de Tarragona was analyzed, so the final document provides information of high social interest.

Final project - Study on the taxation and legal framework governing associations

  • Community organization: La iMAGInada, Cultural association
  • Summary: This study arose from the 2nd edition of the initiative entitled the Social Projects Marketplace which was held in Tarragona. The iMAGInada, Cultural association needs information on the general regulations that govern associations such as itself and, in particular, on the various taxes (income tax, personal income tax, local taxes) that are in place for these associations and their members.

Final project - Study on the tax regime governing sponsorship

  • Community organization: La iMAGInada, Cultural association
  • Summary: This study arose from the 2nd edition of the URV's initiative entitled the Social Projects Marketplace. The iMAGInada, Cultural association needs advice to ensure that it can adapt appropriately to new taxation rules regarding sponsorship and to determine the impact that such changes might have on its activities. Consequently, the association needs information on the tax regulations applicable to both donors and itself, on the funding that may be obtained from sponsors and on the accounting obligations that the receipt of such funding will incur.
