Master's Degree in Research

The fundamental aim of this master's degree is provide the necessary training to enable students to study for a doctoral degree and defend their doctoral thesis. The training will provide students with specific research tools and skills, will be specific to each student's chosen area of research, will provide students with professional research experience (through practicals and research projects carried out in recognised research groups) and will be interdisciplinary (by providing students with research contacts in diverse ambits).

Carreer oportunities

Students who successfully complete the master's degree will be qualified to work in ambits and research lines related to various doctoral programmes, which depending on the specialty of the master's degree are as follows:

  • Biomedicine. Doctoral courses: Biomedicine and  Neurosciences.
  • Nursing. Doctoral degree: Nursing and Health.
  • Psychology. Doctoral degree: Health, Psychology and Psychiatry.
  • Chemical Engineering, Mechanics, Nanoscience and Materials. Doctoral courses:  Nanoscience, Materials and Chemical Engineering, and Research in Thermodynamic Engineering of Fluids.
  • Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). Doctoral courses:  Computer Engineering and Mathematics of Security, and Technologies for Nanosystems, Bioengineering and Energy.
  • Law. Doctoral degree: Law.
  • Economics. Doctoral degree: Economics and Business.
  • Territory, Environment and Tourism. Doctoral degree: Tourism and Leisure.
  • Education. Doctoral degree: Educational Technology.
  • Human Sciences. Doctorate courses:  Humanistic Studies, and Anthropology and Communication
