Master's Degree in Criminal Justice System
The Master's Degree essentially aims to provide specialized and comprehensive training for those who wish to work or carry out research in the various disciplines that make up the criminal justice system. The training is designed specifically for graduates in law, criminology, psychology, sociology, political science and other crime-related social sciences that focus on criminal law, criminal procedure, criminology and victimology.
As an academic, research-oriented master's degree, students will not only study such subjects as substantive criminal law, criminal procedure, criminology and victimology, but also be trained in research methodology. They will, then, acquire the knowledge and methodological skills so that they can take their first steps in the world of research, and be prepared to embark on a doctoral thesis.
Professions related to the criminal justice system: judges, prosecutors, lawyers and forensic psychologists, among others; completion of the doctorate.
