Applicants for grants and predoctoral research contracts

Students who demonstrate to the Academic Management Service before signing their registration document or within five days after signing the registration document that they have applied for a predoctoral research contract or any other official doctoral grant can register with a temporary exemption from the fee for academic tutorials.
Once the grant application process has concluded, the Academic Management Service will amend the student's registration details accordingly. In the event that the student is not awarded the grant or predoctoral research contract, the student will be required to pay the full cost of registration, unless they request for their registration to be annulled

Renewal of predoctoral contract

At the time of registration for academic tutorials of 2nd or 3rd year, doctoral students with a predoctoral contract involving exemption of registration fee will find the exemption prices applied at the online registration, if the duration is valid and have renewed the contracting.

Other grants

Other sections of the URV may announce calls for applications for grants that entitle the beneficiary to an exemption from academic tutorial fees.
If the application process concludes before registration, the student must notify the Academic Management of this exemption during the registration process.
If the application process has not concluded before registration, the student must register as an ordinary student. In the event that they are subsequently awarded the grant, they will be refunded the cost of the registration fees.

Large family of general class or Large family of special class

Accreditation	Spanish students: original and photocopy of large family certificate. Andorran students: report issued by Ministry of Social Affairs and Young People of Andorran government. Other foreign students: large family certificate issued by Department of Work, Social Affairs and Families.
Benefits	The large family of general class card entitles a discount of 50% of academic supervision fee and of registration management (it does not include the specific teaching servicies and the scholar insurances) The large family of special class card entitles to free academic supervision fee and registration and transcript mangement (it does not include the specific teaching servicies and the scholar insurances).
Notes	If the card is expired you must provide a certificate issued by the Department of Social Welfare and Family Affairs, or equivalent body, showing that it is in the process of renewal and before 20 December 2023, must be submitted the renewed certificate and valid beginning of academic year (October 1^st, 2023), as required by regulations. If at the time of registration the large family certificate was pending, it will be conditionally applied the exemption, provided that the student provide an affidavit of the category that has been requested and the application submitted. If before December 20^th, the student does not provide the large family card and certifies that fulfills the conditions at the beginning of academic year (October 1^st, 2023) benefits granted will be cancelled and must be paid the amount exempt.

Accreditation

Spanish students: original and photocopy of large family certificate.

Andorran students: report issued by Ministry of Social Affairs and Young People of Andorran government.

Other foreign students: large family certificate issued by Department of Work, Social Affairs and Families.

Benefits

Notes

If the card is expired you must provide a certificate issued by the Department of Social Welfare and Family Affairs, or equivalent body, showing that it is in the process of renewal and before 20 December 2023, must be submitted the renewed certificate and valid beginning of academic year (October 1^st, 2023), as required by regulations.

If at the time of registration the large family certificate was pending, it will be conditionally applied the exemption, provided that the student provide an affidavit of the category that has been requested and the application submitted.

If before December 20^th, the student does not provide the large family card and certifies that fulfills the conditions at the beginning of academic year (October 1^st, 2023) benefits granted will be cancelled and must be paid the amount exempt.

Students with disability, minimum of 33% disability

Accreditation	Must submit a certificate issued or validated by the Catalan Institute of Assistance and Social Services (ICASS) or equivalent body in other regions, attesting to a minimum disability of 33%. Document has to inform the degree and the due date or specify if it is permanent. It can also be accredited with proving the disability card issued by the Department of Social Welfare and Family with DNI or NIE. It can also be accredited with the resolution of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) which recognizes the status of permanent total disability pensioner, absolute or severe disability or resolution of the Ministry of Finance or the Ministry of Defence where was recognized a pension for permanent disability for service.
Benefits	Students are entitled to full exemption of fees established by the Decree Prices.

Victims of gender violence in the context of a couple

Accreditation	Accredited by submitting one of these documents: Copy of the sentence for the crime of male violence: - If the sentence is less than 2 years, the status of victim of male domestic violence will be maintained for 2 years. - If the sentence is between 2 and 4 years, the status of victim of male domestic violence will be maintained for 4 years. - If the sentence is between more than 4 years, the status of victim of male domestic violence will be maintained for the duration of the sentence. Copy of the protection order or any other legal resolution that stipulates a precautionary measure in favour of the victim. - This status will be maintained for a minimum of 1 year or for the duration of the precautionary measures if this is greater than 1 year. Copy of the report from the Spanish Legal Office indicating that the applicant is a victim of domestic violence. - This status will be maintained for a minimum of 1 year or for the duration of the precautionary measures if this is greater than 1 year. Copy of the report or certificate that demonstrates that applicant is being treated as a victim of male domestic violence. - This status will be maintained for a minimum of 1 year or for the duration of the precautionary measures if this is greater than 1 year, issued by one of the following services: - Social Services - Unit for the Fight against Domestic and Male Violence, of the General Directorate of the Catalan Department of Work, Social Affairs and Families - Specialized Intervention Units (SIE) - Office for Attending to the Victims of Crime - Women's Help Centres - Publicly subsidised entity dedicated to assisting women who are the victims of male domestic violence - Report from the Work and Social Security Inspectorate Victims of male domestic violence who have children who are dependent on them must demonstrate this by presenting the following documentation: - Family Record Book in the case of children under 21 years old. - Certificate of cohabitation with the family unit in the case of children over 21 years old.

Beneficiaries of the basic minimum income loan

Accreditation	This status is accredited by the submission of the original and photocopies of documentation of this condition.
Benefits	Doctoral students are exempt from paying public fees for university academic services for the completion of studies leading to the award of official qualifications.
Notes	Doctoral students must fulfill the conditions regarding the entitlement to exemption at beginning of the academic year (October 1^st, 2023). This exemption is also applied, when providing the accreditation: ♦ Academic certifications ♦ Transfer of transcript ♦ Issuance of academic qualifications ♦ Managment of academic transcript ♦ Verification of equivalence of foreign qualifications/courses for access to master's or doctoral programmes ♦ Verification of academic record of foreign university qualification for access to master's or doctoral programmes ♦ Issuance of authentic copies of official certificates and electronic certificates If the student is not the beneficiary of the minimum living allowance, in order to accredit the relationship of dependency with this person, the following documents must be submitted: - Family Record Book in the case of children under 21 years old. - Certificate of cohabitation with the family unit in the case of children over 21 years old.

Female students who are victims of gender violence not perpetrated by a partner

Accreditation	By submitting the accreditation for female students who are victims of gender violence not perpetrated by a partner (PVM) issued by AGAUR.
Benefits	Female students are entitled to full exemption of the fees established by the decree on public fees.
Notes	The accreditation is valid for the academic year 2023-2024.
