  • APQUA Project (Learning about Chemicals, their Uses and Applications) is the result of the collaboration between the URV Department of Chemical Engineering and the SEPUP Programme (Science Education for Public Understanding Programme) by Lawrence Hall of Science of the University of California in Berkley, USA. APQUA is an educational project intended for the whole population, which is about chemicals and chemical processes, and how risky they are for people and for the environment.

The link connects to the APQUA Module of Equity and Sustainability, which was sponsored by the DOW/URV Chair. Equity and Sustainability is set of interdisciplinary activities designed for students in the second cycle of secondary education. Its principal aims are to make students aware about the inequalities in the living standards of people from different countries and to show them that the rate of consumption in developed countries does not favour sustainable development.
