Joan Picó i Junoy

Is Professor of Procedural Law and Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Law at the University Rovira i Virgili. Doctor of Law by the University of Barcelona (1996), with the Doctoral extraordinary Award, has written 10 monographs and published papers in numerous specialized journals, which have allowed him to be granted, among others, the Spanish Royal Academy of Legislation and Reports’ "Premio San Raimundo de Peñafort" (2003) and the "Premio Doctor Couder y Moratilla" (1994), as well as the "I Premio Antonio Maura" in Commemoration of the Fourth Centenary of the Foundation of the Bar Association of Madrid. He has directed more than thirty Conferences, and Seminars, has given more than a hundred conferences and scientific lectures for national and international audiences. Has made six research stays in foreign universities, and is a member of the International Association of Procedural Law and of the Instituto Iberoamericano de Derecho Procesal. His main research topics: principles and guarantees of Procedural Law, Law of evidence, and judicial protection of the company.
